"Identification of novel therapeutic targets in multiple myeloma"

Current genomic technologies now allow studies of thousands of genes in a single experiment. When data from all these genes are compiled from several patient samples, a molecular signature of a disease can be generated. Recently, using such strategy, we have identified a pathway that is activated in cells under stress, such as myeloma. We wish to explore further whether novel therapeutic targets in multiple myeloma can be identified and whether improved therapeutic strategies can be designed based on this discovery.
