In December of 2001, Adella Krall presented her daughter, Diana Krall, with the MMRF's Public Awareness Award for Diana's commitment to raising awareness of multiple myeloma and the research dollars necessary to find a cure. The presentation occurred at the MMRF Evening of Wine and Jazz event held at the Peninsula Golf and Country Club in San Mateo, California.

An inspirational evening, guests were treated to a heartwarming tribute to Diana by her mother Adella who shared her personal journey with myeloma, the incredible support she has had from her entire family and how grateful she was to be able to share her experience with other myeloma patients. The evening was capped off by a dazzling performance of several jazz numbers by Diana.
