An unusual course for NYC, this half marathon starts with a loop of Central Park, then leaves via Columbus Circle for a romp through Times Square, making a left to run the final, flat miles along the West Side Highway to Battery Park with the Statue of Liberty in sight. This event is so popular that the NY Road Runners holds a lottery to determine who gets to run it! Run "The People's Marathon", an inspiring, beautiful, course that you will never forget. Starting in Arlington, VA, the course crosses the Potomac into scenic Georgetown and onto the Capital Mall. Take in of all of the monuments and tourist sites of in DC that will make you forget you have 10 more miles to go. Later you get a tour of Crystal City, and the Pentagon before crossing the finish line at the Marine Corps War Memorial. You will love this marathon to be sure, but if you want to honor a loved one who served our country, this is the place to do it.

More than 21,000 clinicians, scientists, and others attend the four-day meeting, which consists of a superb educational program and cutting-edge scientific sessions.
